I am a Program Director at KCBY-TV, the highest director position, here are some of the segments that I created.
The equipment we use to make these videos are a Canon 80D DSLR, Canon T7i and a DJI Drone to film. We edit with Adobe Premiere Pro.
KCBY is the weekly student-run television program at Coppell High School that covers what is happening in the community which reaches an audience of approximately 6,000 people. Each show is produced by students who film and edit weekly. Our television program has set the cornerstone for broadcast journalism in high school.

KCBY 2018-2019 Intro
The KCBY Intro is always a huge task. With the intro at the beginning of each KCBY show, the intro must be stunning. Me and another staff member, Mercedes H. worked on an intro with ideas that KCBY has never done before. We got special access to fly my drone in and outside the school. Also never before seen shots in the mechanical class.
KCBY Director Intro
The KCBY director intro that aired on the first show and is a KCBY tradition, was one of the most challenging videos I have ever made. Each scene was stitched together to make one big video that was from many locations. All the footage shot ended up being more than 100 gigabytes.
Texas Senate Debate
This segment will go down as two of the most famous interviewees KCBY has ever gotten in its history. My group and I were the only media outlets that scored interviews with Senator Ted Cruz and Rep. Beto O'Rourke as they were leaving the first debate. We were at the right place at the right time.
Julie Johnson Feature
Another big interviewee that we were fortunate to get was an interview with our city's new Representative-elect. Julie was super hard to schedule as she was getting back from our Texas capital, training for her session next month.
CHS Teacher Of The Year
For this segment, we were able to get exclusive interviews with the CHS teacher of the year and her family. I loved capturing Mrs. Murray's reaction when she learned that she was the winner of the award. We got special access to who won the award before it was announced.
Apple Keynote
This was a fun segment to do with a new member KCBY group. I was able to teach the new members technics to enhance their filmmaking abilities. I got to see their abilities to boast to a new level.
"Get You In Shape" Fundraiser
This segment was one of my first segments to fly my drone on the location to get some creative shots. I love the interviews that we were able to get with beautiful depth of field shots.
